Consider giving back to the community by becoming a WACS Angel
Women and Children Succeeding continues to influence families with the collaboration of local volunteers and supporters.
Host a Life Skills meeting
A variety of volunteer opportunities are available for our Life Skills meetings each month. Anderson churches offer their facilities for these meetings; it is a great way to introduce our participants to the variety of worship options in our community.
Provide childcare for Life Skills meeting
Each WACS participant is matched with a mentor. This is NOT a financial sponsor. This is an opportunity to share the Christian faith through prayer, love, and guidance. Prior to submitting a mentor application, we ask that potential mentors analyze their commitments so that WACS mentoring wouldn’t become a burden.
R.E.A.L. Initiative (Reading Enriches All Lives)
Children of WACS participants receive a new book each month at Life Skills meeting with the goal of building their home library. If you’d like to purchase a book for a WACS family, please see our
WACS Supply Room
A room at the WACS Cottage is dedicated for essential supplies which participants are able to come get, as needed, to supplement their monthly budget. Donations are available to all WACS participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact a WACS staff member if you have questions about potential donations.
